The 2025 team competition will take place October 25-26th at Mystery Creek Events Centre. The event welcomes 270 teams, each comprising of six members (3 males and 3 females), to participate in one of three divisions: Elite, Rx, and Scaled. And, a further 30 teams, consisting of four members each (2 males and 2 females), competing in one of two Masters divisions.

ELITE
Designed for competitors. These are teams, that as a collective, have competed for several years, are proficient and competent at most varieties of fitness movements and standards. However, there is no expectation that all team members can do everything - teams will be able to strategise and use strengths to their advantage.
It is recommended that teams use previous years workouts and example events published by the events team (via social platforms) as a guideline in selecting the appropriate division.
-
DISCLAIMER: This is by no means a definitive list of what each team member must be able to achieve in order to compete in this division. Neither is this a complete list of movements or a restriction of movements. Rather, this is a guideline in effort to help teams chose the appropriate division to compete. The NZ Team Nationals is a team event, where the programming will require that your entire team (in most cases) complete the task or challenge prescribed.
As a guide, at least two team members can achieve multiple repetitions of the following:
Deadlift: M140, F90

These are teams with a few holes in their game. As a guide team members will often ‘Rx’ workouts prescribed in their regular class programming or at local competitions. Teams can expect that gymnastics movements may be scaled by repetitions or range of motion, and weights maybe slightly less, when compared to the Elite divsion.
It is recommended that teams use previous years workouts and example events published by the events team (via social platforms) as a guideline in selecting the appropriate division.

As a guide competitors at least two team members should be competent across most gymnastic movements seen at local Fitness and/or CrossFit competitions.

CHILD CANCER EVENT
We’re absolutely stoked to have supported the Child Cancer Foundation in 2025. HOW? Team Nationals will hosted a charity workout. WHERE? The workout took place on the central stage infront of the Pavilion. WHAT? A pairs (any gender) workout for all fitness levels, designed to be inclusive yet challenging. WHEN? Saturday, time TBA. WHY? The Nationals events are an experience, one that we hope will create life-long memories that are cherished. With that in mind, we believe we have an opportunity to support others who may never be able to experience such a spectacular weekend, or who we can support to one day be a part of our journey in health and fitness.
